What Makes Geox Special?

Geox – Back to School Analysis

What makes Geox special ?

The rubber sole is perforated and uses a breathable and waterproof membrane. This lets children’s feet breathe but prevents moisture from getting in the shoe from outside. This allows a natural regulation of the foot’s temperature and creates the optimum temperature within the shoe.

Geox Savage G boys school shoe.

untitled

Size Run: 26-41 (8.5 Infant – 7 Adult)

Price from: £42

Savage G has become known as one of our toughest school shoes due to the thick tread on the sole, and the scuff bumper toe unit. It comes up higher around the ankle and is therefore particularly good for support, which is especially important for children with hypo-mobility. However as a result, some children who are not as used to the higher cut may take a little while to get used to this style. With two velcro straps, it is an excellent choice of school shoe for the new school goer who’s trying to be more independent.

Although it fits quite deep, the shoe comes up on the smaller side which means children generally go up to the next size on the shoe. This is due to the rubber toe bumper. Savage G is ideal for children who are particularly active and heavy on their shoes and its longevity exceeds others.

In order to keep Savage G looking its  best, we recommend using Dasco  Protector Spray to help prevent water marks and stains and Dasco Shoe  Cream in black to nourish the upper.

 Customer feedback.

“These are excellent shoes for boys who wear their shoes hard. This is the second pair of these that I have bought and they are by far the best school shoes I have ever bought. Hard wearing, long lasting and kind to the feet. Can\’t praise these enough.”

Geox Crush school shoe.

crush

 Size Run: 26-41 (8.5 Infant – 7 Adult)

Price: From £37

Geox Crush school shoe is one of the more trainer-like styles. A slightly more tapered shape means it suits a slimmer foot, but it does fit slightly short, so going up in size is advisable. If a child has a slightly wider foot, the leather Geox innersole is removable, but doing so would usually suggest a deeper style would be better (such as Savage G).

We sometimes find with this style, that the toe covering is not as hard wearing as that found on Savage G. We have experienced a few minor issues where the toe has started to peel, due to playtime activities and harsher weather.

In order to keep Crush looking its best we advise that the shoe is sprayed with Dasco  Protector Spray before wearing to help prevent water marks and stains and Dasco Shoe Cream in black to clean the upper.

Customer Feedback

“These are great boys school shoes, this is my sons second pair as he has gone up a size and these were the only shoe that fitted him properly -having very slim ankles. T hey are really hard wearing and as they have 2 velcro straps they are easy to adjust in two areas so they can be pulled tighter nearer the ankle. I could not find them in stock in local stores so bought them here, they were received quickly and were no more expensive than in stores. Very pleased.”

Geox William Q boys school shoe.

 william

Size Run: 26-35

Price: From £40

William Q is one of Geox’s more formal styles. It has an all leather insole with soft cushioning at the heel cup – this maximises comfort and fit. A single Velcro strap makes this smarter shoe accessible to the younger boy who wishes to wear something more classic for school. The softer leather used may not wear as well as that used on the more robust Savage G if it is worn by a boy who is particularly hardwearing on his shoes.

It fits slightly wider and deeper than Geox trainer- style shoes such as Crush.

To keep William Q in tip top condition, we recommend spraying the shoe with Dasco Protector Spray before wearing and use Dasco Shoe Cream in black to clean the soft leather upper.

Geox J Federico M boys school shoe.

fred 2

Size: 34-41 (2 Junior – 7 Adult)

Price: From £50

J Federico M boys lace-up school shoe is new to Geox and is a slightly more traditional looking school shoe.

Like William Q,  this shoe has soft leather linings and cushioned heel cups which help create the best balance between comfort and fit. The sole unit is slightly lighterweight and may not wear as well as  William Q, Savage G and Crush , especially if your child does a lot of walking.  However, its rubberised sole unit will wear better than wooden block heel soles such as those used in mens shoes.

Like all school shoes, we recommend using Dasco Protector Spray on the shoe before wearing to help prevent water marks and stains and Dasco Shoe  Cream in black to nourish the upper and cover scuffs.
