Mary Jane’s are the ever popular feminine style that have a strap around the ankle to hold the foot in place.
The traditional style is named after a comic strip character who was always pictured in a pair of patent Mary Jane’s. The lovable character appeareared in the famous Buster Brown series that featured in the New York Herald regularly in the early 1900’s.

Hispanitas Victoria 26979 is a typically Spanish Mary Jane or should we say Merceditas!
