Tamaris Leia Review

Tamaris Leia Review

A pair of Tamaris deck shoes is the newest addition to my wardrobe.

I decided on Tamaris Leia as I really like the nautical trend for 2012 and later in the summer I am going on a family holiday on a narrow boat so I’ve got to look the part!

I looked at Sebago deck shoes but I was reluctant to spend that much on a pair for what might be my first and only boating holiday! In the end a difference in price of £30.00 made my mind up that Tamaris were best for me as a first time boater.

Tamaris Leia is comfortable to wear, it’s so lightweight you don’t even notice you’re wearing them! The soft nubuck leather goes with my jeans and lighter trousers and I think the coral colour makes a nice change for the summer over the standard black and navy that I always go for!

So far I have found that the white rubber sole offers really good grip, but I will have to see how they go on the boat. I was a bit apprehensive about the leather laces as I have heard that people often struggle with them as they sometimes don’t stay done up but luckily so far, so good.

Believe me I’m not expecting the shoes to do all that a Sebago deck shoe would do as Tamaris is purely a fashion brand. But I do think that they will be more than suitable for my holiday on the Norfolk Broads, and I’m not planning on sailing around the world just yet!

I will keep you posted on how the boating holiday goes and how these Tamaris Leia perform.
