Our staff all have one thing in common, their love of shoes. Every member of the team wears a design from The Golden Boot range and we find this hands on knowledge invaluable.
A typical day for us really tests the shoes to the full. We are on our feet from 9-5.30, knelt down while fitting and up and down ladders in the stock room, so we need a comfortable style which lasts.
Here is a few pieces of valuable feedback we get from our staff about the shoes they wear to work.
Gabor Bauble is a really popular choice with our staff, which is always a good sign.
A classic, Tracy chose the style as she wanted something versatile that she could wear with skirts and trousers and said that she couldn’t resist the style as she just loves brogues.
Harriet wears Bauble as she likes to wear a heel that isn’t too high and she prefers lace styles for a supportive fit, she says “I can last all day in them and that’s an achievement for me!”
The style got a thumbs up for comfort by three members of staff. Trudi said that it was “very comfortable and cushioned” and the patent is extremely soft.
Tracy has even worn the style out of work with jeans, saying it’s a great mix of comfort and fashion.
All three pairs in store have worn very well, Tracy recommends Dasco patent gloss to maintain the glossy finish.

onders Toffee is a new arrival in store and Katie loved it from the first moment she saw them. Emerald green is the new uniform colour for the Spring and this tan shoe compliments the colour beautifully. Katie works in our Children’s department which is a little more hands on than Ladies’ and Men’s but still finds the style comfortable because of the sturdy wedge heel. Katie says “I can wear it all day long, with no achey feet at the end of the day”.
Clarks Frothy Soda is a popular choice with our Saturday staff, it’s really good value for money and a fashionable choice. The Mary Jane style is great now that we are heading into Spring and looks good with trousers or skirts. Sophie and Jade wear this style while working in our Kid’s department and although they both say it took a little while to break the style in (this is often the case with patent) it is now extremely comfortable to wear and run around in.
Tamaris Ola is worn by Sharon in our Men’s department. Sharon loves her heels which is why she chose this sandal for the summer. The wedge is a great choice if you are on your feet all day and the cork heel in Ola is cushioned and lightweight. Although Sharon has only just started wearing these, she says “I’m very heavy on shoes” and I usually spends more money on work shoes so she is very interested in seeing just how well they fare at work.
Tamaris Erin is worn by Lydia and Tracy. It’s really comfortable and the casual style looks great with chinos for the summer. The leather is really soft and gives to the shape of your foot. Lydia says “I would definitely recommend this style to a customer as it was comfortable to wear from day one, and the brogue detailing looks great”. Tracy says to be careful on tiled floors as the leather style soles can be a little slippy!
